As you know Greg, I host remote drop camp hunts in the famous Flat Tops Wilderness north of Glenwood Springs Colorado. Our claim to fame is the largest herd of elk in the US. We don’t push trophy hunts, but rather a great opportunity to shoot a mature bull elk in country that is easy on the lungs. This is a pristine hunt where your camped in great elk country, hunting right out of camp. These camps have hosted guided hunts in the past with great success, but in this economy we’re concentrating on the economical hunt. The hunts take 7 days. One day you’ll ride in to your camp on trusty mounts and your gear will be transported by a mule string. Then you hunt 5 days and on the morning of the 7th day be packed back out.
